Flinders in the Northern Territory

Flinders Alice Springs is located at the Centre for Remote Health, and at the Rabuntja Building in the Alice Springs Hospital grounds. 

Student facilities 
Swipe cards will provide access to buildings, including the study space and kitchen facilities.  

Student common rooms and spaces provide bathrooms and kitchen facilities including fridges, microwaves, cutlery and crockery, accessible 24/7, with your swipe card. 

Library
Students based at Katherine (permanently or temporarily whilst on placement) can access the Library’s SendIt Service for free delivery and return of Library books, scans of articles or chapters and advice on which other libraries may be available for students to access.

Technology and learning spaces  
The Katherine campus has offices and teaching and meeting facilities at O’Keefe House on the Katherine District Hospital grounds. For more information visit the Katherine webpage.

Transport
There are two university vehicles available for student use. Vehicles are booked through the campus administrators or accommodation officers. Email fnt.katherine@flinders.edu.au for bookings.

Trisha Maroney Memorial Prize
The Trisha Maroney Prize is awarded to a student on placement within the Katherine region that demonstrates the greatest in-depth self-reflection and improvement in their own cultural safe practice.

Orientation to Katherine Regional Cultures and Context 
This one-day course is specially designed for people living and working in the Katherine Region. Please email katherine@flinders.edu.au for dates and availability or visit the Flinders Katherine page to find out more.

Student facilities
The Flinders NT Clinical Education Training Facility is located within the Gove District Hospital grounds. The facility is an educational hub used by various stakeholders across the region, including:

• Education sessions via video conference for year 3 and 4 medical students.
  
• Courses and workshops run by Gove District Hospital
• CRANA plus Remote Emergency Care course
• Interdisciplinary SIM days for student

The Flinders NT office in the main street of Tennant Creek houses local administrative staff supported by a team in Alice Springs.
