The Honours Program in English aims to provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills to research and present, both orally and in writing, an extended piece of research. This includes building on skills developed through the completion of a major in English in literary analysis and critical analysis and an understanding of genre(s).
On completion of the Honours Program in English students will be able to:
To qualify for the Honours Program in English, a student must complete 36 units with a grade of P or NGP or better in each topic, according to the program of study below.
Not all topics are necessarily available in a given year.

**Students undertaking the Program in English with the approval of the Honours co-ordinator may substitute CREA7001 Exegesis with an additional option topic from the list if not undertaking a creative artefact as part of their honours thesis
